Versatility

Hair is a miraculous thing.  It can do so much for your appearance and can be changed from day-to-day.  I love how hair can be manipulated, it's insane!

What's the craziest hair-do you've ever seen?  Have you tried styling your hair in a completely different way?  The possibilities are endless and styling doesn't compromise your hair at all.  Styling in new ways give you so much versatility because it's hardly permanent like a color or a cut.

Holidaze I'm dreaming of the day I can wear open-toed anything and bare my arms.  I'm dreaming of the hot sun and sand between my toes.  Some of our staff are on holidays as we speak.  What are you up to?  Heading anywhere warm?  These photos remind me of a warmer time.  Happy day of Love!

Let's go back

It is Black History month.  I'd like to mention one of my favorite T.V. families.  Even though Bill Cosby's current state on earth is quite negative, I would like to pay tribute to The Cosby show.

I loved Claire Huxtable.  I loved her relationship with Cliff and I especially loved Denise.  Lisa Bonet's character basically shaped my teens.  I owe my fearlessness in fashion to her. Her hair and fashion were so unique and original in the early nineties. They don't make T.V. like they used to.  Whenever I watch past episodes with my young people, I'm taken back to a time when things were simple.  No internet, no cell phones.  Social media meant watching T.V. or a movie with a group of people.  The only people who 'liked' you, you actually knew them personally.

February What do we have in Feb? Well there's Valentine's Day, (extreme cold) and we get a long weekend in honor of my man Louis Riel and extreme cold.  There's also the Festival Du Voyager and let's not forget our birthday with a side of extreme cold...

On February 23rd we turn five!  We made it! We made it through a bunch of drywall and paint and dust and we are going to be better than ever!  The renovations made us step our game up.  We believe in a better experience for our clients.  We really work hard for you guys and we want you to know that it's because of you that we are still around for another year!  Without you guys we are nothing.  We may be nothing without you guys but we are also extremely cold.  That's February in Winnipeg.

Thanks for sticking with us and allowing us another year of fresh, freshness!  We love you guys!  If you're not too cold on Tuesday, Feb 24th, come down to the shop to celebrate with us!
