Jewelry and the man... How many guys do you know that wear jewelry?  Not a wedding band, but a bracelet or fashion ring?  Have you ever seen that?  I feel like most men are comfortable with necklaces but not so much the wrist action...

I suppose there is more femininity associated with a bracelet or bangles than a necklace or a watch even.  The times that I had seen a man wearing a bracelet were rare.  Most of the time the wrist action would be quite subdued and undoubtedly masculine.

If bracelets seem a little out there for you there are always rings, cufflinks and tie clips that you can add to your accessory repertoire.  Just be sure to remember that most cufflinks are worn with specific shirts.  You would need a shirt with french cuffs to accommodate cufflinks.

Would you ever try some accessories?  A ring even?  How brave are you?

Hats on boys...

Hat guy

We all have one in our lives.  Hat guys are everywhere.  They either wear the same hat always, or change it depending on the occasion.  What does hat guys hair even look like?  Most of us do know that hat guy is probably follicly challenged.

If you, hat guy, are reading this right now I urge you to give your hair and scalp some much-needed daylight/nightlight/any kind of exposure to the light.  It's not so great to keep your hair covered ALL the time.  It's not great for your hair and not great for your scalp.  In saying this, I am all for hat wearing!  I like how it can add a little something extra to your look.  I just think hats all day, everyday, are no good.

Baseball caps aren't the only kind of hat out there either.  If you must cover your head maybe try to branch out a little and try some other types of hats.  Just a thought.

the fresh perspective...

LONG HAIRED BOYS Boys with hair.  Long hair.  What's your opinion on a long-haired style?  There are a few men out there that grow their hair and take very good care of it.  I, for one, love a man with long hair.  Especially if it's healthy, maintained and flattering to the host.

How many of you guys have tried to grow your hair?  Was it easy?  What did you like about it? Hated it?  Having more hair just means there's a bit more to take care of.  You need some more products and a little more time.

What about the top-knot?!  Boys, this is amazing!  If you're a long-haired boy, maybe this is something you should try.  It's very easy and a great way to keep your hair out of the way.  I think it's unfair that long hair on men is looked down upon.  It's not JUST for the girls.  It's just hair and if a boy wants it super long, that shouldn't make him less of a man.  It's just hair, long hair...

Like I always say, and will say till I can no longer speak, "there's nothing wrong with trying something new."  Maybe your hair would look great long?  Maybe ask your stylist if your hair would be manageable at a longer length?  It might be something that could really work.  It also could be awful.  That's the fresh perspective...
