 Bonacure Moisture Kick

This is a light conditioning spray that is great for daily use.  I use it every time I start a hair cut.  It's great for de-tangling long hair, it's great for conditioning baby fine hair, it's great for freshening up your hair.  Because of the versatility of this product I do recommend it to just about any head of hair, man or woman or child...

If nothing other than just being an extra conditioner for the winter months, this product should definitely be on your product shelf...that's the fresh perspective.

OSIS GLAMOUR QUEEN

This past week in particular I've been using this product a bit more.  It is a water-free hairspray with a level 2 hold out of 4.   The nozzle allows you to spray a direct line and this is helpful when you are trying to achieve volume at your root.   This volumizing hairspray doubles as a wet styling product and a finisher.  Spray Glamour Queen at your scalp and then blow dry with a round brush for ultra volume.

If you have thick, heavy, coarse hair you  can just use this as a hairspray.  If your lid is a bit fine and limp it's great for use in the way I mentioned above.  I'm not a huge fan of the scent but most of my clients really like the smell, but more importantly this spray delivers.  OSIS Glamour Queen is da bomb! MALIE ORGANIC BODY POLISH

Okay guys this scrub is bananas!!! Yup, I used three exclamation marks...  My overwhelming excitement is quite obvious.  I used this polish yesterday and my skin...!  MY SKIN!!!! (I used four...)  My skin felt amazing and I was instantly sold.  This product is very natural and 1% of the proceeds of this particular scent (koke'e) goes back into planting more of this plant.  This scrub is made from the maile vine that is indigenous to Hawaii and you can actually see the plant in the scrub.  It makes your skin feel so good and if you follow it with the body cream it is like desert for your skin!

Being black (sorry that wasn't politically correct)...I am very particular with the type of lotions I use on my skin.  I love the extra moisture and the shine I get from heavy lotions, and this product really felt conditioning even though it was light.  And the smell?!!  Oooh-wee!!  As you can see, I LOVE this polish!  If you've used it and hated it please let me know, I'm always interested in opinions about the things I love.  It's nice to get a different perspective on things, I believe, are gold.

I recommend to use it once a week with the lotion to give your skin that soft and healthy glow.  It is a full on scrub so it will exfoliate your skin and make it feel soft... Come check out the Boutique to see the full line that also includes soaps, candles and perfume.  That's the fresh respective... I love this product!

OLIVE OIL SHEEN SPRAY

This product is bananas!  It's my ultimate fave for oil sheen's right now.  ORGANIC Root Stimulator is the company that makes this product and it's amazing on/for curly hair.  It's an oil sheen spray that's olive oil based.  Olive oil is rich in essential fatty acids and infuses moisture directly into the cuticle.  It is particularly light but delivers a punch in conditioning.  I love to use it on any and every relaxing service, and for clients with very, very, curly hair.  Very, curly hair... I just wanted to reiterate the curly part...

If you don't have naturally very, very, very curly hair and don't get a relaxing service, you probably wouldn't use this product.  It does produce a high shine and if used improperly, or on straight fine hair, it could be a bad situation.  I have never tried any other product from ORGANIC Root Simulator and would like some feedback on their products.  Also, if any of you have any info on how 'organic' they are, I would love to know.  That's the fresh perspective...

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Now that it's fall, it's time to prepare my skin for the chilling temperature that is around the corner (okay, not that soon, but soon).  I've been an Oil of Olay girl for years and have recently went back to the cocoa butter.  I think that the type of conditioning you receive from this lotion is bar none.  I challenge anyone to try to recommend something better.  I have been using lotion from the beginning of my life and only a few moisturizers keep my skin from getting ashy.  If you are black (yeah I said it) or have really dark skin, you may find that in the winter months you need a heavier moisturizer to get you through.  Palmer's cocoa butter has been around for ages and works so well.  It smooths out scars and marks and  if you've had a few kids like myself and have some lingering stretch marks, this will totally help.

Some pros:  it smells nice and fresh and keeps skin moisturized ALL DAY LONG!  Some cons: it takes a long time for your marks to go away  and if your skin doesn't get too dry this cream may be to heavy for you.

In short, this lotion is great for someone who tends to get really dry skin, who may have some scarring, and anyone in between.  If you have any more useful info about this product holler at me... If you have any useful info about any product I've reviewed please shoot me a comment.  Thanks for taking the time to read this and you know, that's the fresh perspective...

OSIS DRY SHAMPOO

Osis has a product called dust it that is like a dry shampoo, and volumizer.  It comes in a powder form and adds a great matte finish and chunky texture.  This new product is very similar but comes in an aerosol can and not in powder form.

I used it for the first time when I was working on a hairstyle for fresh pop.  My model's hair was a little dirty and I sprayed it onto her hair and yuck!  First, maybe I held the bottle too close but instantly her hair was not shiny looking but grey and sort of greasy feeling.  It had a weird slip to it and my models brown hair was now a shade of powder grey dust.  It added no volume, and actually looked like I dumped a boatload of powder into her hair.

I didn't like the results at all and even after I sprayed from a further distance her hair just felt weird.  Luckily, I fixed the problem and the shoot went off without a hitch (stay tuned for that post)... Can't say that this product is one I  may try again, I prefer dust it and that's it.  That's the fresh perspective...
