Softn' Straight

So now we are onto 'no volume'.  Softn' Straight is a light cream that is used to protect hair while straightening.  If you are adamant about forsaking your flat iron you can use a round brush to dry  your hair anyways.  The round brush will just give a bit of direction to your hair on the ends and a titch of volume, it won't last though...  For poker straight hair this cream is very nice...

Bonacure Time Restore shampoo and conditioner I think that it's okay to have two different shampoos, one for the chemical work in your hair and another for conditioning/moisture. This combo is great for the 'condition' of you hair. Ya got greys? It'll keep 'em from getting more course. Ya got dryness? It'll make your locks a little softer.

OSIS Flexwax

So this product has really begun to grow on me, it's a mix between a wax and a paste. It's sort of a flexible wax, hence the name flexwax.  Has a hold level of 4 so that means it'll hold anything down as well as add great texture...

Positives

-easy to apply

-smells good

-good for smoothing away fly-aways  in long hair

-small enough to store easily

-can be re-molded

Negatives

-a bit sticky in your hands

-too strong for baby fine hair

-not matte

Not a bad product, but you should only reach for it if you/your hair can handle it.  This paste/wax is not for everyone. That's the fresh perspective...

Better Braids Spray

If you have super curly hair then this product is THE product!  In my opinion, for all of us afros, twists and cornrows, this spray is sooooooo good.  THE best!  It offers the most conditioning I have ever seen...

-makes hair super soft

-works well as a styling product

Negatives

-not the best packaging

-bottle gets warped with lots of use...(tres annoying...)

-when you spray too much it gets shampooey...

-can build up in hair

If you have hair like mine, this is a spray that I know you will love/need/use.  I might even go out and say that this is the best braids spray I have ever used.  I won't use another...I won't.

Osis 4 Play

The name of this product is completely ridiculous and I wish it was called something else, but alack and alas it is not. This week I used this product on everyone.  That's how great it is... Definitely a 'must have' in your product line up.

-good for long and short hair

-can make hair look too greasy if too much is used

One again, I used this paste on pretty much everyone this week.  I sometimes mix it up with Upload and diffuse it into hair...ahhh, the best for curl and texture! I am getting too excited about this product so I am just gonna say - that's the fresh perspective...

Osis Dust It

Ok, I'm totally on a volume kick.  I am following up with this dry shampoo/volumizer.  Greasy roots? A case of flat head?  Use dust it.  It's great even in your bangs if you can't get a bang wash in.  I've only ever had two clients who absolutely hated this product so Kristin and Mel DO NOT take the poll... Ha! That's right, I called them out...

PLUS/PRO/POSITIVE/GOOD

-has no real scent

-amazing concept (it eats grease!)

MINUS/CON/NEGATIVE/GOOD

-hard to blend in on dark hair

-sometimes feels cold

-not cheap

-small amount in bottle

I have never tried any other dry shampoo/volumizer but I don't think you can go wrong with any specific brand.  Basically, Osis Dust It is awesome but I'm sure that any brand of this type of product is never a bad thing to have.  It should be part of your styling product line up.  That's the fresh perspective...
